Dawn is an Buddhist teacher in the Insight Meditation tradition. She has accumulated over two years of silent meditation retreat practice since 2005. Having explored multiple schools of Buddhism, in 2009 she took temporary Theravādin ordination in Burma. At the urging of her teacher there, she began teaching in 2010.
Dawn holds an MA from the Institute of Buddhist Studies and Graduate Theological Union, specializing in Theravāda Buddhism and Pastoral Care and Counseling. She works as an Interfaith Spiritual Care professional (Chaplain) at Stanford Healthcare. When not working or on retreat, she serves the community as a coach and facilitator, Buddhist teacher, and scholar.
